PHILANTHROPY
As sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. we are committed to serving our community both as a chapter and on an individual basis. As a chapter, we do 2-3 community service projects each academic quarter in addition to doing on going projects for both our National and Chapter Philanthropies. Individually, many of our sisters are regular volunteers for local organizations such as Peer Health Exchange, Living Room Care, the Neighborhood Schools Program and much more!
National Philanthropy
Our National Philanthropy is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We partner with St. Jude to raise money to help in the fight against cancer and other catastrophic diseases that plague children.
Chapter Philanthropy
Our Chapter Philanthropy is St. Martin de Porres House of Hope. Located on the Southside of Chicago just blocks away from the University, House of Hope is a half-way house for women recovering from various addictions and their children. House of Hope Provides these women with a rigorous program to help them over come their addictions and start on the path to a better life. There we help these women have some much needed time to themselves by playing with their children or preparing meals.
